School Uniforms

Advantages for school uniforms are that there isn’t any difference between poor and rich.
The Uniforms reduce stress because you don't have to decide every morning what you will wear today. Nobody can act up because of his designer clothes.

Disadvantages are that everybody looks like the other and nobody can show his or her own style.

My own opinion is that school uniforms aren't good. Everybody should wear what he or she wants to wear. I don't want to look identic everyday. I'm happy that I can show my own style and that I can be myself.

Book report about "The 50/50 killer"

I'm preparing a book report about the book "The 50/50 killer". I just chose the book because there was no other one but it isn't so bad. The book was published in the United Kingdom. The author is Steve Mosby. He was born in 1976 and studied philosophy. Now he lives in Leeds.

Mark Nelson is a young police officer, newly assigned to the team of John Mackey - a highly-decorated and successful detective, and author of a bestselling true crime book based on his years of experience catching killers. Mackey is a legend in the force and it's a huge opportunity for Mark, who has dedicated his life to his job ever since the death of his girlfriend years before. When a man is found burned to death in his own home, Mackey's team is thrown into an investigation that grows darker and more complex at every turn. The evidence points to a man known as the Fifty-Fifty Killer. His targets are young couples, who he stalks and subjects to a single night of torture and manipulation, testing and destroying the love between them. Only one of them ever survives until dawn. And his victims include a former member of Mackey's team. Soon afterwards, a young man walks into a police station badly tortured and with his memory in tatters. He knows only that his girlfriend is still being held captive in the woods he's escaped from. But the team know that by fleeing, the man has sealed his girlfriend's fate.

If they can't piece together his experience by daybreak then she will die in his place. However, all is not what it seems ...

If you like thrillers you really should read the book!

My community is Ried in der Riedmark. Ried lies on the northern side of the Danube in the Mühlviertel. It is in the district of Perg and next to Mauthausen. You can only get there by bus or by taxi. Ried has a population of about 4100 people. It is on 306m altitude and covers 32, 69 km². The local government and the major Ernst Rabl are Social Democrats.

There flows a river though Ried. It is called Riederbach and its sources in the “Red Moos”. The place is called “Augsbründl”. In Ried there are also some other places you can visit, like “Teufelskanzel” and “Holy Linden”.

On the market square there is a big ugly spring which shows an axe in a tree trunk.

In Ried there are a lot of buildings: two churches, two banks, a hairdresser, a car business, a house for challenged persons and a house called “assisted living”. This is for older people who aren’t able to do everything by themselves.

Furthermore there are a post office, a tourist office and of course a municipal office. In Ried there are also two castles, one in Grünau and the other in Marbach. For shopping we only have the groceries Spar, Adeg , the drug store Schlecker and the bakery Neuhauser.
